The Presses de l’Université de Montréal (PUM) were created in 1962. They pursue four objectives:
- disseminate the results of academic research through books, scholarly journals and electronic publishing;
- transfer scientific knowledge to a wide audience;
- participate in the life of the City by proposing reflections on current issues;
- contribute to the national and international influence of the Université de Montréal.
