Meet Tarik | Portraits of merchants and professionals of Côte-des-Neiges
Learn more about your merchants and professionals of the Côte-des-Neiges district! // Let’s meet with : Tarik Kadiri, Owner of Imprimerie CDN
For Tarik Kadiri, owner of Imprimerie Côte-des-Neiges, entrepreneurship is a way to give back to the neighbourhood that welcomed him when he arrived in Montreal.
Tarik is of Moroccan descent and immigrated to Canada at the age of 17 to study printing management. He settled directly in Côte-des-Neiges, where he built a circle of friends, which allowed him to integrate and discover the Quebec culture.
Later, Tarik studied business administration at HEC Montreal, located in Côte-des-Neiges.
“Côte-des-Neiges gave me everything. I was educated in this district, I met my wife there, my children were born at Sainte-Justine Hospital, etc. Côtes-Des-Neiges is my home and therefore I want to get involved in its development. I want to give back to this area that has given me everything,” said Tarik with great commitment and determination.
“I think it’s a citizen’s duty to get involved in the community and that’s why I’m a member of the board of directors of the SDC Côte-des-Neiges,” he added.
Driven by the ambition to contribute to the development of his territory, Tarik took the reins of the Imprimerie Côte-des-Neiges in 2010.
Before taking the plunge into entrepreneurship, he had the opportunity to work with renowned international firms, which enriched his career path.
At that time, the Imprimerie Côte-des-Neiges founded in 1951, was for sale. Its founder was looking for someone who could give it a second wind.
Tarik’s professional and academic background as well as his determination attracted the founder’s attention. And that was the beginning of the adventure!
Since the acquisition, the entrepreneur has revamped the company’s image and continues to take on projects with clients from different sectors.
One of his biggest partners is the Sainte-Justine Hospital, with which he faced the pandemic challenges.
Thanks to Tarik’s leadership and the professionalism of his team members, Imprimerie Côte-des-Neiges was the official printer of the Sainte-Justine Hospital during the crisis: a project that made the entrepreneur proud.
