Want to explore the neighborhood while enjoying the joys of winter? Discover the Sentier-des-Neiges, a winter trail designed by SDC Côte-des-Neiges! From November to March, enjoy a neighbourhood that’s illuminated, decorated, animated and vibrating to the rhythm of our merchants on every street corner.

On Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, between Rue du Frère-André and Rue Côte Sainte-Catherine, a trail of nearly 75 illuminated installations awaits you. On the ground and above, admire the many sparkling decorations in honor of the cold season. These illuminations are sure to put a smile on the faces of young and old alike!

And as you stroll through the streets, take a look at the art in the windows of the 20 participating businesses! For the 3rd year running, a host of businesses are taking part in the SDC’s free window-decorating program, which runs all winter long! This year’s theme is mountains and winter sports.

As soon as you leave the Côte-des-Neiges station, discover one of the two giant fir trees right next to the Halte Côte-des-Neiges in front of the Banque Nationale on Lacombe. Meet the second giant fir halfway along the route, at the heart of the Halte Côte-des-Neiges, in front of Pharmaprix on Queen-Mary at the corner of Côte-des-Neiges.

On some 30 lampposts on Côte-des-Neiges, Lacombe and Gatineau streets, flower boxes have been replaced by magnificent wreaths of giant fir trees and snowflakes. If you opt for an evening visit, 25 Magic Ribbons on lampposts illuminate Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges between Queen-Mary and Côte Ste-Catherine.

You’ll also notice the traditional majestic Chandelier on Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges at Queen-Mary, as well as numerous trees adorned with garlands of lights at Placette Côte-des-Neiges and Halte Côte-des-Neiges / Queen-Mary.

En route along the Sentier-des-Neiges, pause in front of the Maison de la culture Côte-des-Neiges and discover the flamboyant installation offered by the CDN-NDG borough.

The route ends on avenue Lacombe, where 40 Faire spheres illuminate the avenue’s trees between Gatineau street and Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges.
