1 hour (Poissonerie Zeina)
Transportation: Walk and bicycle
Recommended transportation: Bicycle

If you’re in the mood to get out and about, discover new parts of the neighborhood at the speed of sound, then biking is the perfect mode of transportation for you. That’s amazing! We’ve designed an active itinerary using local bike paths to broaden your horizons.

Don’t worry if you don’t own a bicycle! The starting point for this itinerary is the Bixi station on rue Jean-Brillant, close to the Maison de la culture and McDonald’s. You can borrow a bike there. Afterwards, take the Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges to Poissonnerie Zeina, so you don’t start your adventure on an empty stomach. The Poissonnerie is also a restaurant serving fish and chips, green salad, crusted salmon, scallops and more. Before continuing on your bike, a stop at Dollarthèque could be useful if you’re missing anything, as it has everything you need at an affordable price! Continue on to Chemin Queen Mary, Chemin de la Tour and Chemin Polytechnique, all the way to Parc Tiohtià:ke Otsira’kéhne*. Along the way, you’ll notice the many buildings that make up the Université de Montréal. The tranquility of the vast park will impress you.

*As bicycles and mountain bikes are not allowed in the park, we recommend that you leave your bike at the entrance. If you’ve borrowed a Bixi bike, you can leave it at one of the nearby Bixi stations (corner of Boulevard Édouard-Montpetit/Avenue de Stirling or on Boulevard du Mont-Royal, near Avenue Vincent D’Indy).
