SDC Côte-des-Neiges is launching WifiCDN

SDC Côte-des-Neiges is proud to launch the WifiCDN project today. Citizens who frequent the neighborhood will now be able to enjoy an enhanced visitor experience thanks to the installation of free Wi-Fi access points in the area.

An enhanced experience

With WifiCDN, the SDC Côte-des-Neiges invites citizens to stay connected to the essential and the unexpected by offering a free internet connection accessible near several outdoor break areas in the territory of the SDC Côte-des-Neiges. Complementary to the various wifi networks offered by the businesses, the objective is to offer residents, workers and students an enhanced visit experience in the territory’s break areas both during the hot and cold seasons. Soon, users will also be able to take advantage of special offers, privileged and personalized information on the WifiCDN login page according to the day, time and their preferences.

The sites offering a free connection powered by SDC Côte-des-Neiges

Currently, the WifiCDN network is available at Halte Côte-des-Neiges (Lacombe St, corner Ch. De la Côte-des-Neiges), at the Placette Pharmaprix (Ch. Queen-Mary, corner Ch. De la Côte-des -Neiges) on the Promenade Jean-Brillant – shopping area (Jean-Brillant St, corner Ch. De la Côte-des-Neiges) and at the Placette CDN (Ch. De la Côte-des-Neiges and du Frère-André St.). A fifth location will soon be installed in the northern sector of the SDC Côte-des-Neiges territory.

A collaboration of several partners who care about Côte-des-Neiges

SDC Côte-des-Neiges has been working on this project for over two years. With WifiCDN, the SDC Côte-des-Neiges wishes to offer to citizens a simple access to a wireless internet connection even when they are outside the shops. WifiCDN makes it possible by offering to people in the neighborhood a more complete experience in the various break areas. The project will also make it possible to draw a more accurate portrait of the neighborhood and to highlight the businesses and companies in the area. To implement this project, SDC Côte-des-Neiges has retained the services of EyeIn Média, which offers an advanced public wifi solution. Initiated by the SDC Côte-des-Neiges and supported by the City of Montreal, the project is also made possible thanks to the collaboration of several companies working in the district, including Sidev, Pub McCarold and Duc de Lorraine.
